NOTES FOR TRADERS CONSIDERING ATTENDING PARROT SOCIETY SHOWS

People considering having a Trade Stand at one of our three shows held at Stafford County Showground may find the following notes of help. There are three shows a year:-

Mid June – Our Summer Show Sunday 23rd June

Early October – The National Exhibition held in Bingley hall and the above Centres - Sunday 6th October

Early December – Help Bird Keeper’s Show held in Argyle and Sandylands Centres - Sunday 1st December

Without a doubt it is really sensible to visit one of our shows to see roughly how they run before you consider booking a trade stand. We have many long standing traders and they can give you their personal insight into our shows, equally the Parrot Society has their own stand at each show close to the entrance, so do come and have a word with our staff. We maintain a database with traders' email addresses and circulate details of shows to them well in advance of the event.

Frequently asked questions:

How large are the trestle tables?                              1.8M x 0.75M.

Is there allocated parking for traders?                      No, parking is on a first come first served basis.

Where will my stand be located?                              Our long standing traders take the prime locations, so new traders are required to take space on the outside of the main central focus at our events.

What publicity would I receive?                                 For the National Exhibition, our largest event, we list the names of traders attending in our October monthly member’s magazine, provided you book early.

When do you start to take bookings for a show?      Generally we start to take bookings for the July Show in May. Then for the next show a week after we have held the previous event.

Are trade stands for the sale of new items?              Yes that is the case, we do allow our members to sell second-hand bird related items from their sales tables but not new items. That would be unfair to traders.

How do I pay for my stand?                                       You can post a cheque to our office made payable to The Parrot Society with you duly completed application form. Or you can make your payment directly into our bank account, details of the account are sent by email to all traders when the trade applications are sent to you.

A specimen booking for each show will be posted in PDF format for you to download and complete before each show.
